Whelp, as many of you have figured out, I just don't have the time or energy to continue to work on VTT as I should. Between a Masters Degree, research in several fields, and a part time job, at the end of the day I don't have much leftover to work on VTT.
The good news is, I plan on getting the ball rolling again with the help of others. Who are these others? Thats where I need your help!
I'm looking for 2-3 programmers willing to take over the job of keeping VTT up to date and useful. Applicants should:
- Have extensive experience with C++
- Have experience with MFC development
- Like VTT! Prove to me you've used VTT and will commit the time in order to improve it
If you're interested in keeping VTT development alive, send email to development@carrotinnovations.com. Please also include a resume and/or examples of previous work I can check out. Oh, and yes, these positions are paid (though probably not much since I can't afford much).
Thats it for now. Hopefully we can get this thing going soon!

The message board is back up, and cleaned up a bit. I'm looking for 1.85 features suggestions (other than AutoBPM which should be included), so post away!

Just to let everyone know, registration codes will not be sent out between the 1st and 6th, and on the 10th due to our registration guy doing some moving.
On other notes, I just installed Win2k on my development machine and am having some difficulties with AOL (yeah I know, but its all I got here at home). The AT&T cable modem people should be coming next week to install a cable modem (yippee!), so hopefully by then I can get the message board back up and running again.
I also began working on VTT again, fixing some bugs, adding some new features. I think DX8 will help a lot when its released, since it supposedly includes some new sound handling routines. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Back again! Couple things:
1. Ordering page is up and running again. Sorry for the long delay
2. The big opensource question is still in the area. I've gotten a LOT of positive response to keep working on VTT! This has REALLY kicked me into gear, and I'm once more continuing picking up the project. You're still free to send me email, however, at the email address listed below.
3. The message board is going to go down for a bit while I do some maintenance on it. Hope it'll be up soon, depending on how well this damned modem works

Hello all! Some major news worthy items:
1. Yes, I know the order link is down. I'm working to fix this as we speak (has to do with the lack of codes going during a two week period when the company was in Europe!)
2. As many of you have figured out, I have a lot less time than I thought I would have to work on VTT. So, I'm CONSIDERING open sourcing the project (Despite posts to the board, it has NOT already been done so). People, please send me your comments regarding this matter at opensource@carrotinnovations.com
Other than that, I'm currently working over at Sonicbox at least for the summer. They're a nice new Silicon Valley startup specializing in stand alone web radio. Check it out!

Hello hello. Long time no update eh? Heh heh. Anyway, to put aside some rumors...
1. I'm still working for myself. This is, however, my last year here at Hopkins so its time to do some job searchin.
2. VTT is NOT dead. School work has once again overwhelmed me and I just don't have the time to put the time into it (Note: Registrations are still processed since they are not handled by me). I'm hoping summer will bring some free time. Blehh.
Other than that, I'm still alive and kicking. Looking forward to the release of DirectX 8 since, according to rumor, it will make a LOT of the features I want to implement easier, without the heavy licensing cost. Cool!
Until next time...

Hello hello. I'm back from a long long vacation, and ready to whip up some VTT lovin again. Currently working on: AutoBPM (will happen), Recording (probably will happen), Shoutcast (probably will happen), and general bug fixes (will happen).
In the meantime, I've put up the links database again. Unfortunatetly, I lost the old database, so links to sites will have to be reposted. Let me know if there are any problems.

Ok folks, just wanted to update you all on my status. Summary: I am not dead, just very very busy with Real Life(tm).
As is the case for most campuses right now, finals are in full swing. For us CS majors, FINAL PROJECTS are in full swing... and really they have been for the last 3 or so weeks. Actually, maybe I'll post 1 of my 2 projects once its done. It's a BSP based dynamically lit 3d engine which runs DOOM levels! Pretty sweet stuff.
Anyway, it should all be over in a couple days. I fly home on the 19th and plan to do some VTT overhaul once I get back home to sunny CA. I'm going to attempt once more the elusive save to disk functionality...
Merry Christmas bbaaabbbyyy
